About Me

There’s an elusive spot
somewhere in the overlapping areas of knowing yourself
and knowing your target audience
of knowing how you talk, and knowing how they listen.
That sweet spot? That borderline mythical place?

I know how to find it.

You’ve heard the saying – time is money. But your time is so much more than that. It’s your self-care. It’s your family bonding. It’s that god-damn Netflix episode you’ve been dying to watch. If it just ain’t happening for you, stop pouring dead time into it. Hand it over to me. I’ll get it done, and done right, so you can focus on other things.

I know it feels like you need to do it all sometimes. After all – this business is your baby, and who else will love and nurture it like you do? Think of me as your godmother, tutor, and au pair, all rolled into one. Let me take care of it, so you can take care of you.

I knew my way around my local library before I knew how to catch a train. I remember how my heart pounded the day I was old enough to upgrade to an ‘adults’ library card, so I could take out more books each week. From day one, my first and greatest love has been language. Immersing myself so fully into the world of words naturally led me into working with them.

I edited my first manuscript when I was still in high school. Went on study literature and sociolinguistics at university, however, there was something missing.

That’s when it clicked. The reason I loved to read and write was because of how it allowed me to crawl inside peoples’ heads. I delighted in observing people, interacting with them and taking mental notes, until I knew them well enough to be able to predict their behaviour. Thirsty for a quantitative basis for this, I switched up my subjects and majored in psychology.

Studying the different aspects of personality, how we learn and become who we are, and familiarising myself with how the brain processes and retains (or doesn’t) information only made deeper my fascination for the human mind.

But I knew that going down the clinical route wasn’t for me. So in my final year of uni, I undertook an internship at The Plus Ones. I did everything, from writing for the site itself, sourcing, editing, and curating work from other creatives, as well as managing social media. I got my first taste of how my two loves could combine into something beautiful, impactful, and fun.

Now, I spend about half my time working for LOTL and Curve magazines – again, writing, curating, managing. The other half I get to devote to varied projects. To fuelling my fascination, and in doing so, helping people like you.

If you’re tired of wandering, I’m your girl.

If all you need is to be pointed in the right direction, I’m your girl.

If you want to be taken by the hand and led right there, guess what.

I’m your girl.

Quick fix? No thanks.

That’s not what I want, and it’s not what I provide.

That’s not to say I don’t work fast – but I believe that solutions come from treating the cause, not the symptom.

I believe in doing things well.

I believe in creating something that lasts, that can be built on.

I believe in loving every step of the process and every detail of my craft.

Maybe, I’m a little bit of a perfectionist.

But you know what?

I believe you’re worth it.
